The reviews from Screen Writers Community are broken down into several categories. The first is Genre. This is a broad category that covers the Big Six: Comedy, Drama, Romance, Horror, Sci-Fi and Action. Then there are the sub-Genres, of which there are 40. For our purposes, only four were selected: Fairy Tale, Fantasy, Children and Family.
There are more specific categories: the Overall Effectiveness of the script, the Concept for the script, Pacing, Climax, Structure and the Ending. For the characters, we have development for the Male Lead or Leads, the Female Lead or Leads, Support Characters, then the caliber of dialogue for the Male Lead or Leads, Female Lead or Leads and the Support Characters. It then ends with the Final Acceptance rating.
Scores are given in increments of 2 from 0 to 100. For Structure, the rating levels are Poor, Fair, Good and Very Good. For Ending, the rating levels are Not Satisfied, Slightly Satisfied, Satisfied, Very Satisfied and Completely Satisfied. Final acceptance rating levels are Recommend, Consider or Poor. Points are given in Structure as 1 to 4, Ending as 1 to 5 and Final as 0 to 2. The ratings are split for the first three and all five reviews.
Although five reviews were submitted, only the first three count towards the results. Since the first two reviews were PASS, that affected the grade, even though the last three were CONSIDER. Here are the averaged results. For Genre and Sub-Genre, the number in parenthesis is the number of reviewers who selected that particular category.
